Learn To Square Dance

The Wranglers Square Dance Club has been teaching folks California’s official “folk dance” for more than 40 years. This year’s class will be taught by internationally known caller Buddy Weaver. Square dancing is a lot more than “do-say-do”, but Buddy has the special talent for breaking down the most complex “calls” in moves that each of us can understand and do. Experienced square dancer “Angels” are also welcome to attend no matter what club they belong to.

Numerous studies have shown the health and social benefits of dancing. Square dancing combines both aspects and requires only the physical ability to walk forward at a brisk pace, remember which way is right and which left, and a bit of memory for what’s already been taught. Many individuals become life long square dancers. In fact, the Wranglers still have an active member who graduated in the first class – in 1973.
