San Diego Museum of Art’s ‘Art Of The Open Air’

The San Diego Museum of Art unveils its highly-anticipated public art project, Art of the Open Air.

The free exhibition is located in Balboa Park’s Plaza de Panama and features seven modern works from the Museum’s internationally significant sculpture collection.

Among the pieces on display are Auguste Rodin’s “The Prodigal Son,” Joan Miró’s “Solar Bird,” Lynn Chadwick’s”Watchers” and Tony Rosenthal’s “Odyssey III” (pictured).

These pieces were previously in storage due to limited exhibition space and conservation needs. Many works were recently restored and will be reinstated for the public to view.
