Visit a local tide pool to learn how these amazing habitats and their inhabitants truly survive between a rock and a hard place. The optimal season for tidepooling is December to March when minus tides reveal wider beaches and tide pools teeming with life. During those months, you can sign up for a Tidepooling Adventure where our trained naturalists will show you how to tread lightly during your visit and help you discover the wonderful world of tide pools. Ages 2+. Under 15 must be accompanied by a paid adult.
This kids-only fishing clinic is open to children 15 years and under, Saturday and Sunday year-round. No experience or equipment necessary. Fishing lessons, bait, and fun provided.

Make messy art-making fun at Finger Painting Friday! Finger painting is an immersive art experience that allows kids to be completely creative with their work. Better yet, caregivers don’t have to worry about cleaning up the mess! Come create your new masterpiece at The New Children’s Museum.
High Tech Fair aims to enlighten students in grades 7–12 to the possibilities of a scientific career. Students experience real-life applications for the science they learn in the classroom through interactive experiences provided by participating local STEM-related businesses. Interactions fostered at the High Tech Fair create new sources of inspirations for students and teachers and enhance the value of education outreach for exhibitors.
Art-exploration stations designed to promote motor skill development and sensorial exposure. Take-home art projects. Adults are expected to participate and supervise children. Pachis staff will guide and assist. For ages two to three years.
