All aboard! Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends are chugging into the Orange Empire Railway Museum for five days in April. Book your trip early because train departure times fill up fast. Day Out With Thomas offers aspiring engineers and their families the opportunity to take a ride with the famous engine and his railway friend, Percy. Kids can also meet Sir Topham Hatt, the Superintendent of the Railroad from the Island of Sodor and enjoy a wide range of Thomas-related activities. Note: tickets are required for kids age 2 and up.
Let’s take a trip back in time. Join us at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. for hands-on workshops to learn more about the age of the dinosaurs and the amazing creatures who lived with them!
Educational Theme: Science
San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum is proud to announce the return of KPBS Kids Workshops for 2018! Join Curious George, Daniel Tiger, Buddy the Dinosaur, and other special guests as we explore the world around us through science, math, and literacy.
The series consists of special storytimes, a visit by a costume character and/or interactive presentation, and a hands-on workshop that connects to a KPBS Kids program educational theme starting at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Events last approximately 30-45 minutes. These programs are designed for children ages 3 and up.
Price of KPBS Kids Events are included in Museum admission.
Hands-on workshop seating is first come, first served. Arrive early to secure your spot.
Costume characters are selected for specific workshops given availability.
Celebrate the Earth and save the planet. Join us as we honor Earth Day and help keep our environment clean by turning recyclable trash into treasure. We’ll provide the recycled supplies and all you need to do is bring the creativity.
