This Mom Dyed Her 2-Year-Old’s Hair Hot Pink – and Parents Everywhere Had Something to Say About It

These days it is not uncommon to see people with hair dyed pink, green, orange, blue or even multicolors. Actually with the popularity of tattoos and all over body piercings dyed hair is pretty tame relatively speaking. You woudln’t be suprised to see green hair in an office environment these days. But – would be surprised to see a 2 year old with pink hair?

Recently on Instagram, Charity Grace LeBlanc posted a video of her dyeing her toddler daughter’s hair hot pink. Charity says.. “she has been begging me for a long time.” Charity even made a video tutorial on how to go about doing this with a 2 year old. She also says, she used semipermanent hair dye because of her age. You can see in the video that her daughter is very into it. She does not complain at all and appears to be happy as a lark.

After posting the video, Charity asked…”Would you let your daughter do this?” Needless to say there was an overwhelming response – right in the ballpark of 3,000 actually. One person said…”Now you’ve let her do it, she will keep asking,” one parent wrote. “I just think two is too young. She probably didn’t know what she was signing up for.”

Of course they were not all comments against it.  A couple of responses on the total other end of the spectrum were  – “I see nothing wrong happening here, just a mother bonding with her daughter.”

“Kids don’t go along so well with things they don’t want to do and she sat there patiently and did it,” she wrote. “Her hair was beautiful before and it’s beautiful now. Hair dye has nothing to do with making yourself more pretty — it’s about what you want.”

So is there an appropriate age for something like this or is it about personal choices?
