Spring is here and thanks to all of the rain we’ve had this winter San Diego is in bloom! Here are the best things to do in San Diego this Spring:

The Flower Fields in Carlsbad
Ranunculus are blooming and boy is it a sight to see! Driving past the Flower Fields on the 5 is nothing compared to seeing the Flower Fields in person. Grab your camera for some beautiful shots. The Flower Fields also hosts a lot of activities like yoga, picnics, sunset wine tastings, and more. Check their website for details and to buy your tickets in advance. Reservations are required.

Japanese Friendship Garden at Balboa Park
See the cherry blossoms while you can! Tickets start at $12 for students and seniors, $14 for adults 18+.

San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas
Take your time enjoying 4 miles of trails and ocean views through one of San Diego’s largest botanical gardens. The San Diego Botanic Garden sits on 37-acres and is home to 5,300 different plant species and varieties. Through April 9 you can check out their exhibit, The World of Orchids.

Daffodil Days at Julian Farm & Orchard
Head up to Julian for some fun! For $5, you can head into the field and pick your own daffodils. Have kids? For $20, kids 4+ can enjoy unlimited activites like a petting zoo, tractor ride, rock climbing, axe-throwing and more. Julian Farm & Orchard also has a little picnic area if you want to bring some food along to make it an all day outing! They’re open Friday- Sunday from 10am-4pm.

The 31st Annual San Marcos Spring Fling & Street Festival
Bring the family out to celebrate Spring at San Marcos’ annual celebration. There will be over 200 vendors, kids zone fun, a beer & wine garden, and live entertainment on 2 stages! This event takes place on Sunday, April 2 from 9am-5pm all along Via Vera Cruz.
