photo (16)You thought it sucked when you got a cold, wait til your baby gets a cold.

In the future, when my kids get impatient teaching me some new technology they can do in a second, I’ll remind them that I taught them how to blow their nose.  Until then, stock up on tissues and that “snot sucker thing” seen here.

You know you are a parent when you get excited when your kid sits still while you use that snot sucker on them.  My son finally got in a routine this past week with his runny nose when I “let” him pick which side of the living room to look towards, and then that’s the nostril I would attack.  Success!  One of the few success moments in the week in the many battles of him being an escape artist and not letting me help him blow his nose.

Usually the cold lasts at least one week, and just when your child is finally becoming snot-free, your other child of course starts wiping their nose with their sleeve.  And then wipes their nose on the couch.  And then wipes the snot all over their face.  I’m so sick of snot!
