Marble has been a part of our Christmas tradition since 2007.  I never imagined this weird looking elf would STILL be coming around during the holidays because I never thought I would have 4 marble-rotatekids!  My older children are “in” on Marble now but I have 2 little ones who still “believe.”

It’s a bitter-sweet relationship I have with Marble.  I love how my little ones wake up excited to find where Marble has landed; it’s really cute.  Wanna know what’s NOT cute?  When I forget about our little elf the night before and then having to explain (lie) to the kids,  “He must have had the the day off!” or “I think that must be Marble’s favorite spot!”

He’s cute and the idea is cute but for me, Marble is just one more thing that I have to remember to take care of.  He’s the last thing on my list of “to-dos,” and I often find myself being annoyed by him.  I know, I know… I’m being a Scrooge but it’s the truth.

If I do the math correctly, this little dude will still be coming around for (at least) another 4-5 more years and do you wanna know how I feel about that?  “BAH HUMBUG!”  That’s how I feel about that.
