EpiPen Expands Its Recall: What You Need to Know to Keep You & Your Kids Safe

Does your child suffer from a  life-threatening allergy and depend on this medication? If so, then this is an article that you probably need to read. 

The US Food and Drug Administration announced that pharmaceutical company Mylan is recalling 13 lots of its EpiPen and EpiPen Jr. auto-injectors, as these devices might contain a defective part which could result in the devices’ failure to activate.

Some of the recall lots are these:

The affected lots were distributed between December 17, 2015, and July 1, 2016.

The 0.15-mg EpiPen Jr auto-injectors impacted by the US recall are as follows:

  • Lot 5GN767, with expiration date of April 2017
  • Lot 5GN773, with expiration date of April 2017
  • Lot 6GN215, with expiration date of September 2017
