Surf Dog Surf-a-Thon See the world’s best surfing dogs show off their skills, interact with 20+ vendors and watch our amazing costume contest. Old Town San Diego Fiestas Patrias Celebrate Mexican Independence Day in Old Town San Diego while commemorating and experiencing the rich and diverse culture of Mexico and California. This free festival commemorates an important day in early San Diego history when Alta California was still part of Mexico and declared independence from Spain. Annual ArtWalk Carlsbad More than 150 fine artists’ work will be featured, along with interactive art for families at KidsWalk, a full palette of musical performers, food trucks and stands, and more.
