I know I’ve said it here before, but in my early days of parenting a newborn, I credit some “mom blogs” with being my online life raft. I felt really lost and unsure of myself and the parenting community I discovered online helped me stay sane and find support in such a challenging and sometimes scary time, and for that I will be forever grateful. Some of the blogs and websites I read religiously I’ve grown out of, but some of them I continue to check out whenever I have the time and they continue to provide me with ideas, a sense of community, and plenty of comic relief. So as Thanksgiving approaches, it’s in the spirit of gratitude that I want to share some of my favorite parenting blogs and websites. I hope you get as much from them as I have over the past almost-six years!
For parenting questions and a community that is full of different opinions and experiences, I like Ask Moxie.
For swoon-worthy photographs and charming ideas and inspiration, I like Design Mom. I also think their family is just lovely and it’s been fun living in France vicariously through them.
When I want to imagine what F dreams about, I check out Mila’s Daydreams.
When I want a website that F and I will enjoy equally, we go to The Kids Should See This. It is unfailingly awesome.
And for thought-provoking takes on parenting and all its many challenges, I like The New York Times parenting blog.
I am grateful for THIS parenting website most of all!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
