I grew up where every Holiday was a big deal.  The whole house was decorated, even the bathroom, for every Holiday.  Now that I’m a parent, for whatever reason, I don’t do this.  Am I being a lazy parent because I’m not decorating every room in my house for Halloween?

A couple weeks ago the kids and I painted pumpkins.  I figured that was good enough, but then my kids started asking for more.  So my husband took them out shopping on Friday and brought home a bag of decorations.

Now I may be a lazy parent when it comes to decorating, but I’m also a smart parent when it comes to bribery!  You bet I used those Halloween decorations as a reward for them cleaning the house.   Life with toddlers, you know that house stayed clean for 15 minutes, but hey at least they picked up for once.

Then I saw them have a blast putting up the spiderwebs, skeletons, spiders, and bats:

Do you go overboard for each Holiday, or limit it like I do?
