The Lore Behind The Roar: 100 Years Of The San Diego Zoo

San Diego History Center has a family-friendly exhibition that tells the story of the San Diego Zoo’s humble beginnings in 1916 to its evolution as a major tourist attraction and global conservation organization.
At “The Lore Behind the Roar: 100 Years of the San Diego Zoo,” visitors will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Zoo’s role in the San Diego community and its efforts to end extinction worldwide.
