Science Fiction, Science Future

August 14, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

$16.95 – $19.95

You can see the future … today. “Science Fiction, Science Future” brings the science of the future into the present at the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. In this interactive exhibition, you can compete to move an object with your mind, design a cyborg, interact with robots and more!

It’s all in the new exhibition, “Science Fiction, Science Future.” Find out which inventions from your favorite sci-fi shows might become reality. Could traveling through wormholes become fact … or remain fiction? Will we someday communicate through holograms, just like in Star Wars? Find out in “Science Fiction, Science Future.”

The exhibits in “Science Fiction, Science Future” will enable you to develop a deeper understanding of how science fiction ideas and concepts might become the science reality of tomorrow. You can also explore visions of our future from comic book artists and your favorite authors in our special complementary exhibit, “San Diego Science Fiction: Past, Present, Future.” Learn how those futuristic imaginings may be coming true right here in San Diego. This exhibit includes rare books from the Department of Special Collections & University Archives (SCUA) at San Diego State University and artwork from local comic book publisher IDW.

Experience tomorrow … today! “Science Fiction, Science Future” is open now through Sept. 5, 2016, at the Fleet Science Center. Admission includes all of the Fleet’s interactive exhibits and one IMAX® film.
