The average woman owns eight different bags, while some extremists have over 100 of them. When it comes to what a woman keeps inside, 25% of women say that answer is private.

Maybe that’s why only 40% of men would dare to snoop through a woman’s purse. While most people carry your basic essentials around every day some people have some truly weird items in their purses.

A few of these odd items found while doing this study were dead cat’s hair, a voodoo doll and potatoes.

The top ten most common items found in a woman’s handbag were:

1. Purse

2. Mobile phone

3. Pens

4. Tissues

5. Car keys

6. Lip balm

7. Hairbrush

8. Lipstick

9. Hand cream

10. Umbrella
