Many of us understand that physical activity is good for our bodies. But how many of us are aware of how important physical activity is to keeping our minds sharp and focused so that we’re able to perform to our highest potential? More and more studies are revealing the connection between physical activity in school and improvements in student concentration, enhanced learning and overall academic performance.
Kaiser Permanente’s friends at SPARK — a research-based, public health organization advocating for quality physical education to promote the health of children and adolescents — have come up with a wonderful infographic that summarizes the benefits of physical activity for creating healthy minds for school students. We wanted to share this with you and encourage you to share this resource with others to communicate how a healthy body can support a healthy mind!
