Okay so no more worrying about plates or eating utensils. Just dump the food on the floor and let the little guys graze!

Well…not exactly…but it’s nice to know the chances of them getting seriously ill from eating something they drop on the floor are slim. At least according to this particular study.

For example:

“Eating food that has spent a few moments on the floor can never be entirely risk-free,” he told The Independent. “Obviously, food covered in visible dirt shouldn’t be eaten, but as long as it’s not obviously contaminated, the science shows that food is unlikely to have picked up harmful bacteria from a few seconds spent on an indoor floor.”
