In Honor of Stress Awareness Month…

April is Stress Awareness Month and there’s no doubt about it, being a single mother of 4 can be stressful at times.  In honor of “Stress Awareness Month,” I’ve been exploring some new things that could possibly make my life a little less stressful.   Earlier this month, I gave on-line grocery shopping a try and I loved it!  Getting to skip a trip to the grocery store and having the groceries delivered to my home was a definite stress reliever.   I also paid for a laundromat to launder a week’s worth of dirty clothes.  Again, a total stress reliever and worth every penny!

Then last night, I decided to take advantage of my child-free evening (the kids were with their dad) and ordered an in-home 60 minute massage!  I hadn’t gotten a massage in almost 2 years so I decided, “What the heck, why not!”

The process was super easy.   First, I went to my app store and searched “Massage.”  Surprisingly, there were a few options to choose from so I just picked the app that was sponsored, “Soothe.”  Then after signing up I was able to book an appointment within the hour!  I didn’t have to provide anything for the appointment other than making enough space for the massage table.   After moving some living furniture around to make room, it was massage time!  The masseuse was prompt, very professional and of course the massage was great (not to mention a MAJOR stress reliever too)!

You should give it a try sometime!  After all, you deserve to treat yourself every once in a while too!
