Where to Take Your Kids Apple Picking in San Diego

Fall officially kicks off in a week, but the festivities have already begun. Outside of going to a pumpkin patch, there is nothing more fall than going apple picking. There are plenty of places to take your family right in Julian! 

Julian Mining Co.
4444 Hwy. 78
Apple picking is on NOW  Saturdays 10 am-4 pm  and  Sundays 10 am-4 p!  No reservations, drop-in only. Admission is $2 a person and bags are $15 each.

Peacefield Orchard  
3803 Wynola Rd.
Now open for apple picking Saturdays and Sundays in Sept. and Oct. from 9 am-2 pm. Reservations required. Bring cash as only cash and Zelle are accepted at the orchard.

Crosscut Farm and Orchard  
1209 Farmer Rd.
Julian, CA 92036
Apple picking season starts This Saturday (9/20) and runs through Sept. 28. Reservations are required. Admission for ages 4 and up are $5 and includes an apple cider pressing demo, short introduction to apple farming, property access and parking. Additional fee for apples.

Ranchita del Reo

Open for u-pick starting Sept. 27-Nov. 1. Season may extend past Nov. 1 depending on apple crop. Open for u-pick Friday-Monday 9 am-3 pm. Reservations required.

Mesa Blooms 
1711 Highway 78
Open starting October 4 through Nov. 10, Friday-Sunday. No reservations, walk-in only. Cost: $20 per person for a 1/4 peck bag and admission to the orchard. Kids under 1 are free. Kid bag is $10 (for kids 1-9 years old). Note: Cash and Venmo only.
