Del Mar’s Thanksgiving Family Fun Run

Prepare for the big meal of the day by participating in a new family tradition, Del Mar’s Family Fun Runbeginning at 8 a.m.

Break from the actual starting gate and run the one-mile loop on the dirt track where you may find yourself jogging next to a world-class jockey or two. Registration and pre-race activities start at 7 a.m. and include games, face painting, entertainers, holiday arts and crafts and more. Participants are encouraged to come in costume.

A host of family-friendly activities will be available post-race for kids of all ages, along with The Helen Woodward Animal Center’s Puppy Run and puppy adoption event, just in case you want to make your family a little bigger this holiday. Runners are invited to stay for live racing with our early 11 a.m. post time.
