International Youth Symphony Rehearsals in Balboa Park

Visit SDYS’ 11th annual International Youth Symphony during their rehearsals in Casa del Prado in Balboa Park. The orchestra will perform excerpts from some of the most celebrated works including Mozart’s Overture to the Marriage of Figaro, Gabriel Faure’s Pavane, Mozart’s Symphony No. 35 in D Major “Haffner”, and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 2 in D Major. San Diego Youth Symphony and Conservatory’s International Youth Symphony is a special partnership program between the San Diego Youth Symphony and Rotary District 5340 International Youth Exchange. Every summer, this unique three week orchestral program brings together gifted conservatory musicians from around the world with exceptional SDYS musicians and Music Director Jeff Edmons for an intensive and top quality orchestral and chamber music experience.
