Aside from being super sweet and delicious, watermelons are packed with vitamin C, lycopene and vitamin A. And during Halloween when most of us tend to get too much candy and wind up really overdoing it in terms of calories, watermelon is perfect because it has only 80 calories in 2 cups worth, no fat at all, and is full of satisfying flavor and important nutrients. So it can help us to keep our weight on track during Halloween.

Watermelons have a skin that is easier to carve than pumpkins and kids are more likely to go for a watermelon ball than pumpkin insides, especially when candy is all around.

So this year, save a pumpkin and carve a watermelon!  We found some fun watermelon carvings you can do for Halloween, or any time.  Check out this page at Watermelon.org>>>
