Most of us are afraid or way too anxious to talk about the C word…cancer. Although it is not the first thing on our list, it is so important to pay attention to warning signs. Listen to your body…it knows what it’s doing when it is trying to tell you something.

Most of us (over the age of 21) are familiar with visiting a gynecologist for screening tests. Mahboobeh Safaeian, Ph.D. Director of Clinical Sciences for HPV at Roche Molecular Diagnostics, emphasizes, “the goal of cervical cancer prevention is to screen women when they are healthy and well, to identify potential pre-cancer that can then be treated effectively.”
