The US Food and Drug Administration announced that pharmaceutical company Mylan is recalling 13 lots of its EpiPen and EpiPen Jr. auto-injectors, as these devices might contain a defective part which could result in the devices’ failure to activate.
Some of the recall lots are these:
The affected lots were distributed between December 17, 2015, and July 1, 2016.
The 0.15-mg EpiPen Jr auto-injectors impacted by the US recall are as follows:
- Lot 5GN767, with expiration date of April 2017
- Lot 5GN773, with expiration date of April 2017
- Lot 6GN215, with expiration date of September 2017
