While it is mostly thought of as very adult centered holiday, there is plenty to do this weekend all over San Diego to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!

St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival

The 42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2023. This year’s theme is “Unity with Peace in Ireland, and Beyond”; recognizing the many daunting challenges people around the world face finding a home filled with love and goodwill rather than fear and violence.

The parade will step off at 10:30 a.m. on Fifth Avenue at Laurel Street and the festival will run from 9 am – 6 pm. See dignitaries and honorees, floats, high school marching bands, police and fire department units, Irish community groups, dancing groups, equestrian units, clowns, antique cars, Irish setters, and more. Then enjoy a fun day at the festival for the whole family with an expanded kids area.

All participants receive a Leprechaun Run t-shirt, finisher medal, chip timing, free photos and a complimentary drink! Run through the streets of downtown Pacific Beach, finish under the rainbow and enjoy your drink to start your St. Patrick’s Day party!

Leprechauns & Live Music at Seaport Village

Grab dinner, drinks and dessert from one of the many yummy eateries throughout the Village. Jam out to some Irish tunes before hearing over to snap a selfie in the shamrock light tunnels…if you’re lucky, you may even see a leprechaun!
