It’s no secret that kids of all ages, no matter their gender are in love with Star Wars. They usually know more about the movies than the parents do, but when thinking of taking your children to see Star Wars the Last Jedi, the latest installment in the series, there are definitely things you need to be aware of. Here are a few things to be aware of.

First and foremost, it’s long. Don’t think you’re going to sit down with the kids for an hour and be on your way. The movie is 2 hrs. and 33 minutes. Be absolutely certain to have them go potty 7 or 8 times before the movie starts and for goodness sake, don’t let them drink during the movie…unless you want to keep missing it because you’re running to the bathroom every 15 minutes.

Also although it’s rated PG-13, there were more scenes, characters, and one-liners that are meant to entertain younger kids in Episode VIII than ever before, including Porgs (aka the cutest addition to the franchise since Ewoks). There are also a couple funny scenes between Rey and the Ahch-To natives. But make no mistakes, it’s still a Star Wars movie full of, huge battles, and a generous amount of explosions. As with any Star Wars movie, you can expect tons of weapons, battles, people getting blasted, space ship fights, etc.

May the Force Be with You.
